My proposed idea is that i add an “eye-patch” option in multiplayer for when a player is selecting gametypes in matchmaking. It would have 3 options: On, Off, Both. I call it eye-patch option naturally because there is an eye-patch skull in some campaigns you can turn on that will disable aim assist. The idea is simple enough: If you select On, then you will only be put in games where aim assist is disabled for controllers If you select Off, then you will only be put in games where aim assist is enabled for controllers – basically how things are now If you select Both, then you will be put into either of the games where aim assist is enabled or disabled.
In this sense, it’s not really input based matchmaking, since it’s not “input based,” but I feel it would achieve the same goal. For players who don’t care one way or another, they can select Both. This way, anyone who turns the option on will play where there is no aim assist and will have to actively track their targets. If it were implemented this way, the friends would still be able to party up and play together since it’s not “input based” matchmaking , but the party leader would have to decide which choice to select for the eye-patch option.
